This week had not been treating me too well.. Though I am given two days of certified no-work days, staying at home proved to be something challenging. I guess I am the kind of person whom needs to be active both mentally and physically. I can't go exercising, as I was coughing. I think too much of Paulaner's beer last week that causes me to suffer from this sore throat..
Thursday and Friday was stay home for me.. I think there's where I really gain back my energy and remain focus as to where in the end I really want to go.. Many things have had happen at work recently. Technology changed, mindsets and approach must also change. I am afraid that I am currently stuck in a place in which the top management is very supportive of changes, but not the middle management stuff.. Things does not happen overnight I understand, but if I can have a person whom needs to steer the ship in the right direction coming to me and tell me that until today, he does not know what the top management wants, I am very afraid and frightened. Does that means that we must contuine to play this 'I guess what you want, I go according to what I think is alright' to do my work. I think that is very wrong, for one who has no direction would want to work aimlessly..
Saturday in school means that I am one step nearer to my examinations and assignments submission. It also means that I am one step closer in getting my degree paper and one step closer to my goal in my career development. I begin to feel that damn pressure, of taking the last round of my examinations. Evening was spend catching the blockbuster of the week; Transformers. Very action-packed; not a hot hit among my list of movie. However, dinner was fufilling; dine at a street food outlet at the basement, the food might not seems to be appealing at the first sight, but I must say that the taste will definitely proved you otherwise.
Today is rather a wet day. Late afternoon showers; luckily I was on my way back home. The day started pretty early, with us going to Tampines; a place that is even more crowded than Orchard Road and damn difficult to find even a decent parking lot. That will be my top destination in which I will never want to go. We just went there to get my sister's musical stuff and off we go to have our lunch at Holland Village..
3 Monkeys Cafe
Teco - Beef
The Blueberry Sundae was indulgence!~
Dory fillet with their house special sauce - Yummy-licus!
Mexcian Meatball Soup - Another hit!
Overall, the food was alright. But the starters that we ordered was disappointing. It was a basket of a few items, and was labelled house speciality. But all that arrived was fried and fried and fried. It was oily. (so much so that I didn't bother taking a photo of it) Anyway, I must say that the dory fillet and the meatball soup is a must try. Together with the blueberry sundae, another house special. The starberry was abit off taste, you can actually taste it is very artifical. For 4 of us, the bill came up to S$80+, not too bad, but I feel that if we want to have good food, the money could be better spend at somewhere else.
Holland village is a small town with nothing much to walk around. I only popped into the Pet Lovers Centre shop there and bought Meelo some of his favourite treats. I think he must be damn happy, you can actually see him pop-corning. High-tea, came too early, was at this bakery and cafe where there is always long queue for their breads.
Mum as usual, where there is nice food, she is always so loyal to those few stores, went in and bought our breakfast for tomorrow. Since it was 4pm plus and not knowing where to go, we headed to Alexandra Village food centre to buy our dinner back home. Introduced avocado shake to mum and she ended buying drian shake, aloe vera lime juice and mango juice. Oh mum, the famous drink there is the avocado shake. In the end, we ended up buying 7 different types of fruit juices and shakes from that stall. The owner must be thinking what are we up to.. Packet mutton soup back home, and it cames timely.. It started to pour on pour way back and the soup will keep us warm at night.
Tonight, I will have my 'Kung Fu Chief' moive to keepp me going through the night. Tomorrow, I am back to work...
P.S. Though he is not my idol, but he did make a difference to my music world.. So R.I.P Micheal Jackson.. Wacko Jacko..
